I remember the moment clear as day. It was my junior year at Stockton University. I was a psychology major, writing a ten page essay on Sigmund Freud's stages of development. While I thought psychology was interesting, I sadly realized that I couldn't see myself doing it for the rest of my life. I minimized my essay and googled "career personality test". I can't say that I was surprised by the result. I had always been the artistic type. I've loved art ever since I could get my hand on a crayon! However, I never thought I could make a career out of an art degree. My next google search was in-demand jobs, and to my surprise, "Graphic Design" was one of the first to pop up. After that semester, I switched my major to Visual Communications and to this day, I think that was one of the best decisions I have ever made! Ten years later (and counting), I still love Graphic Design just as much as I did when I designed my first social media post.
